Melansir akun Twitter resmi timnas Inggris @England, beredar sebuah surat yang dikirim oleh Ratu Elizabeth kepada pelatih The Three Lions, Gareth Southgate.
"A very, very special message for Gareth Southgate and The Three Lions," tulis akun tersebut.
Para pemain dan pelatih timnas Inggris mendapatkan dukungan dari Ratu Elizabet atas perjuangan mereka mencapai final Euro 2020.
Dalam surat itu tertulis bahwa Ratu Elizabeth menceritakan tentang pengalamannya menghadiri piala dunia 55 tahun yang lalu. Dia sangat beruntung melihat perjuangan Bobby Moore dalam meraih kemenangan pada turnamen internasional kala itu.
"55 years ago, i was fortunate to present the world cup to Bobby More and saw what it mean to the players, management and support staff to reach and win the final of a major international football turnament," tulis Ratu Elizabeth.
